In life and work, we often use screws, nuts, nuts and other parts as fasteners to fix various items, facilities and industrial equipment, which are indispensable industrial necessities in daily life, their names are very similar, it is easy to confuse people.

In fact, we often refer to the screw is a common name, it can widely refer to all the objects with external threads, screws are divided into many different types, screws, bolts, nuts, screws, studs, etc., all belong to the category of screws, although the name is similar, their scope of application and function are different.

  1. Screw

Generally speaking, the screw does not refer to fasteners, which are generally used for transmission. In a few cases, “screw” may refer specifically to the threaded part of a bolt or screw.

  1. Nuts

Nuts, nuts are nuts, the shape is usually hexagonal, the inner hole is internal thread. Used to cooperate with bolts or screws to screw in a part that plays a fastening role;

  1. Screws

Screws are commonly known as fasteners or standard parts, including screws, bolts and studs.

  1. Studs

Stud refers to a class of fasteners without a head and only with external threads at both ends, such as studs on both legs, welding studs, etc., sometimes called screws.

The difference between screws and bolts is the smallest, often confused, and the actual specification is not particularly clear, but the smaller ones are often called screws.

Such as: tapping screws, set screws, wood screws and so on. Larger screws are called bolts, such as hex bolts, expansion bolts, carriage bolts, etc. But in general, bolts are used to connect two objects, usually through light holes, and need to be used in conjunction with nuts, and a single cannot connect. Tools generally use a wrench, the head is mostly hexagonal first class, generally large.

Screws usually do not need nuts, directly with the two objects (general connector first to drill, tap thread), tools generally use a screwdriver, the head is mostly a slot, cross slot, internal and external hexagonal is also a lot, generally small.

A fastener consisting of a head and a screw (a cylinder with external threads) in two parts, used in conjunction with a nut to fasten two parts with a through hole. This connection form is called bolt connection. If the nut is unscrewed from the bolt, the two parts can be separated, so the bolt connection is a removable connection.
